GVE celebrates 20th year in style
GVE celebrates 20th milestone with Brazilian Summer Party
We celebrated in style on Saturday 12th July to mark 20 years of GVE with our Brazilian-themed Summer Party and BBQ. It was important for us to celebrate this special milestone in GVE’s history by hosting an unforgettable event to thank all those who have supported us on our journey over the last two decades. We brought all the flavour, colour and flamboyant Brazilian style to Maidstone - the home of GVE - to celebrate in glorious sunshine with our team, industry friends and family joining us to mark GVE’s past, present and future.

Our guests were welcomed with champagne on arrival at our beautifully decorated outdoor venue, followed by caipirinha cocktails before enjoying a delicious Brazilian BBQ feast served into the evening. The event was a chance to bring people together to enjoy the surroundings in the summer sun with drinks supplied from an outdoor bar and music from a live DJ.

The grand finale was a showstopping performance bringing the spirit of Rio Carnival to the party with a drum and dance samba show featuring dancers in carnival costume and live percussion on the drums. Our guests got into the Brazilian spirit as they joined the performers on the dance floor at the end of the show for a samba dance.

Our event also raised over £1000 for our chosen charity, Pilgrims Hospices with Leila Ilkhan and Ellie Timms from the charity’s fundraising team coming along to the party and holding a raffle with fantastic prizes to win. Thank you to the businesses that donated prizes and to all our guests that either bought raffle tickets or donated at our charity collection points on the night. We are so grateful for your support - your donation will make a real difference to hospice patients and their families using the service in our region.

The GVE Journey
GVE was founded by our managing director, Steve Goodwin and two further founding directors, Richard Vigar and Paul Edwards back in 2005. We have grown from just three people back then to the 20+ thriving team we have today. We have ambitious plans for the future but remain consistent in delivering professional, specialist consultancy support to our contractor and subcontractor clients over the last 20 years. We wouldn’t be GVE without all the people that have supported us along the way – our team, our clients, our industry friends, our construction network and local community. Here’s to the future of GVE!
