Southall Waterside

Southall Waterside development comprised of an 88-acre complex regeneration site in West London; for 3,750 homes on an old gasworks requiring two years of infrastructure work and remediation to clean 250,000 m³ of contaminated land. Our client was contracted under the ICC form of contract to provide Earthworks, Remediation and Drainage works.

 

GVE initially provided a commercial team to assist with preparation of delay submissions to secure an extension of time and relief from liquidated damages across multiple areas of the site. Following this we provided a team of quantity surveyors to assist the contractor with forensic pricing of variations using the contractors site records including diaries and allocation sheets. This led to agreement of direct costs for a variation account with circa 500 changes.
