GVE to present CIOB 2024 Maidstone Emerging Talent Award
GVE Commercial Solutions Building Ltd are pleased to announce that as proud sponsors of the CIOB’s (Chartered Institute of Building) 2024 Maidstone Emerging Talent Award we will be presenting the industry accolade to the winner at this year’s Construction Professionals’ Dinner in March.
GVE will be presenting the award at the glittering black-tie ceremony on Thursday 21st March at the Tudor Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club, Bearsted. The event attracts building environment professionals across the southeast to celebrate industry achievements; providing recognition to those that go above and beyond the requirements of their role to add value to their organisation and serve the communities they work within.
GVE were delighted to be a part of the judging panel for the award. GVE’s Building director, Matt Clark along with Clare Clifford, GVE’s business development manager joined Oma Megbele, CIOB Kent Region Chair and Lindsay Platt, CIOB Tomorrows Leaders Representative as part of the panel. The process involved considering the merits of each application; recognising entrants that represent the core values of CIOB ethos and looking for stand-out factors. Due to the exceptionally high standard of entrants, it was a difficult and challenging process to choose a winner as well as two highly commended runner-up places.
Despite having served less than three years in the sector, the applicants are already looking like industry leaders of the future. All applicants made great strides in developing their industry knowledge, immersing themselves into wider social value commitments and paving the way for up-and-coming construction professionals.
Following the panel’s decision, the CIOB Maidstone Hub Committee and Tomorrow's Leaders announced the three finalists on 29th January 2024 as:
Holly Falzon - Willmott Dixon
Oliver Noctor - Baxall Construction
Shannon Park - Kier Group
Acknowledging the announcement of the finalists Matt Clark said: “We are proud of the industry we serve and are honoured to have been involved in this process, providing recognition to the outstanding emerging talent in our sector.
