GVE presents CIOB Maidstone 2025 Emerging Talent Award

GVE were again proud sponsors of the Emerging Talent Award at the CIOB Maidstone Hub Construction Professionals’ Dinner on 6th March 2025 at the Marriott Tudor Park hotel in Bearsted, Kent. The award recognises amazing potential of up-and-coming construction professionals, and their positive contribution to the industry.

GVE Building director, Matt Clark was delighted to award the well-deserved winner, Ella Standen from BAM. The judges felt she had made a real impact in her role and supported the wider industry through her wellbeing and charity work. Our congratulations also go to the two finalists for this award, Finley Emmott and Grace Poll, both from Apex. To be nominated for this award demonstrates their exceptional commitment to their continued professional development and indicates a promising future in construction. Sponsoring this award is important to GVE as it recognises talent, potential and going above and beyond expectations to achieve success – both for the individual and to benefit others in the construction community.

After the ceremony, guests were entertained by the brilliant comedian and impressionist, Rory Bremner who brought the house down. Our team enjoyed the evening’s entertainment alongside special guests – our friends and colleagues from the building industry – who were invited to join us for an evening of dinner, drinks, laughter and celebration.

We would like to thank our guests Cheryl Causebrook, Teresa Milligan, David Brown, Paul Newstead, James Greening and Sam Cradduck for joining GVE’s Steve Goodwin, Luke Parham, Matt Clark and Naomi Sanger and celebrating achievements in our industry with us. Our thanks are extended to Beverley Lawrence and all those from the CIOB Maidstone committee who organise and host one of the most enjoyable annual events in the construction calendar.
