GVE has raised over two thousand pounds at our corporate golf day to support community-based charity, Heart of Kent Hospice.
Our Golf-for-Golfers event on 7th October 2026 was a huge success, with friends and colleagues from across Kent’s construction industry joining us on the Bearsted course, helping to raise vital funds for local people. We were pleased to have Becky Stephens from the Heart of Kent Hospice there on the day to raise awareness about the work of the charity and raise funds by taking donations for food and cold beverages provided on the buggy around the course.
This latest donation of £2,193 is part of GVE’s longstanding support for the hospice - a charity close to our hearts that we are proud to have supported for over five years. The hospice, based in Maidstone, provides valuable care and ongoing support to local people and their families at a time when they need it most.
Kerry Campbell, Partnerships Manager, Heart of Kent Hospice said: “Heart of Kent Hospice exists for the community. Support from our local business community is vital for us to be able to continue supporting people and their families, living with a terminal illness, and providing compassionate end-of-life care when the time comes. Thank you GVE for your commitment and continued support.”
Supporting local projects and charities through volunteering and fundraising initiatives is an incredibly important part of GVE's work, helping us to give something back. We would like to thank everyone who attended the day for giving so generously to help make a difference in our local community.
